About the artist:

"Float" by Allison WatkinsBorn in Reading, PA, Allison grew up in upstate New York. Early on, she found her passion for art. Allison studied art in high school,. and won awards and contests for her art. Upon graduating from high school Allison entered Mansfield University's art department, where she discovered her passion for photography.

She continued through school, and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S.E. in Art Education. She just finished her masters in art education, and taking photography classes on the side. Allison was accepted to Brooks Institute of Photography, but elected not to go, instead seeking a career in Art Education. Allison worked for two years in an Avondale elementary school. She is currently working as a Photography and Ceramics teacher at Tolleson.
