From the heart of South America, Alturas brings to lifethe rich heritage of the Inca and Aymara cultures. With a unique repertoire of international sounds, this not-to-be missed performance will open your eyes, ears, and hearts to the richness and vitality of South American folk music.

John Francis

Hailing from Nashville, this uber-talented singer-songwriter has shared the stage with Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee, Josh Ritter, Suzanne Vega, Aimee Mann, Arlo Guthrie, and more His current release, The Better Angels, spans the landscape of the human heart, and the heart of America. The album is roots/folk/rock revelation, rooted in American soil. The Better Angels was produced by John Carter Cash in the legendary Cash Cabin and features Rachael Yamagata is featured on vocals

BATA IRE

Steeped in tradition and musical experience, BATA IRE ( bah-tah EE-ray) borrows from the ancient repertoire of Bata, Rumba, Iyesa, Makuta, Samba, Batucada, and countless other traditions. Fronted by the rich voice of Lauren Winston, and bandleader and legendary percussionist Emilio Caruso, this Phoenix group features Cuban and Brazilian percussion coupled with funky guitar, bass, and vibraphone.

The Walt Richardson Group

Based out of Tempe, Walt Richardson is one of the most talented and influential musicians in the Valley. Since the 1970's, he has entertained and inspired audiences who have come to love his songs and arrangements of pop, folk, world, and reggae tunes.

Missoula Children’s Theatre

Experience the magic of theater as West Valley students star in a full-scale musical production of a classic children’s tale with a twist. On Monday, they’re cast as characters. By Saturday, they’ve gained character—the kind that really counts. Complete with professionally designed scenery ad costumes, the performance is a culmination of a week-long residency led by the internationally acclaimed troupe.
